Firm welcomes Bernadette Maheandiran

June 28, 2010 - Toronto - Swadron Associates takes great pleasure in announcing that Bernadette Maheandiran, our seventh lawyer, will start with the firm after Thanksgiving.

Bernadette was called to the Ontario Bar on June 21 this year and is presently one of two judicial law clerks serving in the Central East Region of the Superior Court of Justice. She is a Trinity College Scholar, holding an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree, with high distinction, from the University of Toronto's specialist program in International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies. She ranked in the top five percent of her graduating class at Osgoode Hall Law School where she spent a term in the Intensive Program in Aboriginal Law including a placement in Raipur, India. Bernadette has had significant involvement with the Canadian Red Cross and is fluent in spoken Tamil.

Between her clerkship and starting at the firm, Bernadette will be taking an extended trip to India. We wish her safe travels and look forward to her return.
