Marshall Swadron discusses Supreme Court case on physician assisted dying
March 18, 2015 - Toronto - Marshall Swadron will take part in a panel discussing the Supreme Court of Canada's decision in Carter v. Canada (Attorney General) that will be webcast by Osgoode Professional Development on April 24, 2015.
- Marshall's co-panelists are Mary Jane Dykeman of DDO Health Law and Dr. Kerry Bowman of the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics, who also holds an appointment in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto and also serves as clinical ethicist for Mount Sinai Hospital. The discussion will include potential federal and provincial government responses to the decision and the legal and ethical issues facing legislators.
