Seeking Justice for Jeffrey

On May 21, 2004, in a quiet neighbourhood in Scarborough, 17-year-old Jeffrey Michael Rich Reodica was shot three times by a plain-clothed member of the Toronto Police Services. Jeffrey, the youngest of three children in a very close-knit and loving family, died three days later. Numerous eyewitness reports support the view that the use of lethal force against Jeffrey was not justified.

On September 27, 2004, the SIU announced their finding that the officer who shot Jeffrey was legally justified in his actions. That same day, the Chief Coroner of Ontario announced that an Inquest will be held into Jeffrey’s death. The family and friends of Jeffrey are not satisfied with the conclusions drawn by the SIU and are looking forward to a further investigation of the incident through the inquest.

The Reodica family have retained Swadron Associates to assist them in their continuing efforts to ensure justice for Jeffrey. For more information, please see the Justice for Jeffrey Website.
