Aaron Dhir Publishes Paper on Involuntary Detention

Toronto – September 2004 – Swadron Associates alumnus Aaron Dhir, now teaching in the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor, has published a paper entitled “The Maelstrom of Civil Commitment on Ontario.” The paper discusses the use of examinations conducted during periods of unlawful detention to form the basis of subsequent involuntary detention or findings of incapacity to manage property under Ontario’s Mental Health Act. Aaron wrote the paper based on two cases he conducted as an associate at Swadron Associates: Edmunds v. McMaster and Daugherty v. Stall.
