Lawyers, accountants and other professionals work in environments of constantly changing rules and ever increasing specialization. Clients depend on the professionals that they hire to keep current with the rules and to meet the standards expected of a reasonably prudent member of their profession. When professionals fail to meet these standards, losses can result.

We accept selected cases involving negligence claims against professionals, including lawyers and accountants. This area of practice often overlaps with our estate litigation practice. Our approach in such cases is to reach practical solutions. In some cases a claim against a professional can be put on hold or “tolled” as a means of preserving rights while efforts are made to repair or “mitigate” a potential loss.
